Chamber's Community Marketing Program | ||||||||||||||
The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM) presented the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce with two awards for its Community Marketing Program at their recent Fall Conference and Awards Luncheon. In addition to the Programs and Campaign Award for Excellence for chambers with 400 and less members, the Harrisonville Chamber was presented with the Judges Award for Excellence. “The judges, who consist of chamber professionals outside the state of Missouri, approached the CCEM Awards Committee requesting to give an additional award as they felt one submission to the competition was particularly impressive,” said Kristi Ray, Director of Chamber Relations and Membership with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The identified project was particularly impressive given the size of the chamber and the budget for that project. The Judges Award was given to the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce for its Community Marketing Program.” “It reflects highly upon our members and their involvement in the marketing campaign when it is viewed by others in the chamber profession as being particularly noteworthy,” said Ann Britt, Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “The Chamber Board spearheaded this program and Director Robb Murry has done a superb job as chair of the project. We were pleased to win the first award, but when they announced that the judges personally asked to give an additional award to an entry they felt was exceptional, and it was for our program, it was an honor beyond words.” The Community Marketing Campaign theme is “This is Living.” The award submission included the fund-raising phase as well as the implementation phase. To date the campaign has encompassed print ads in several publications, publishing a Harrisonville community guide and a billboard campaign. The program is ongoing and the most recent addition is this new chamber website that reflects the marketing campaign image and offers additional services.
