2005 Award for Excellence Winner!

The Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce has won the prestigious Award for Excellence (AFE) by the Membership Development Division of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

The Award for Excellence is the highest achievement in the membership development profession, recognizing excellence in financial performance, member programs, internal operations, and organizational mission. The Award For Excellence sets the standards for membership development excellence for chambers of commerce and similar organizations across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

The Harrisonville Chamber became one of only 62 in the nation to qualify to compete for the 2004-5 award when it scored above the national average in net gain in members, member dollars, and retention for its dues category. The national averages are compiled annually from ACCE’s Chamber Operations Survey and are available online at http://www.acce.org/surveys/afe/surveyhome.asp.

The chamber advanced to finalist level when its programs and operations were selected as being among the top 12 in the nation by an expert panel of membership development professionals who evaluated more than 30 applications in early June 2005.

The Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce was announced the Award for Excellence Winner in August 2005 at the ACCE Convention in St. Louis, Missouri.
